Both these faults fixed, just leaving the headlight washers, which I think is blocked jets.

What were the other faults? Easily fixable?

XJ is strong contender for me long term 3.2 replacement, won’t do FWD again for my commuter.

But DIY is a concern.  :-\

Found my car like this, this morning. Air suspension is great, till it lets you down .....

looks like another 'air spring' is required. Had one fitted to the other side earlier in the year.

Yeah heard the airmatic is brilliant, until it needs fixing.

Spring and shock one unit on them?

One was easy, just needed me to put screenwash in, and the error went away ;D.  I think I'd run it low testing the (lack of) functioning headlight washers.  I discovered by trial and error that topping up the screenwash isn't a dealer job, which I'm sure will stun the Jag forums....

The other was the tyre pressure monitoring went apeshit after I bounced the arse about a bit heavily round a roundabout (honest, at pretty low speed), claiming a system fault rather than a single wheel fault.

So yesterday, changed the oil in the Battlebus, "fixed" the TPMS on the Jag, topped up screenwash as the error was annoying me.

Today, "fixed" the headlight washer on the jag, then made a start on replacing the HID bulbs and a blown sidelight on TBE. Drivers side went well, passenger, as soon as I started, could tell the adjuster was buggered. Bugger. So popped out the headlight and shoved in the oven at 100C for 10 mins, stripped it, replaced adjuster, and put it all back together.

Went to adjust the headlights, and promptly adjusted the wrong adjuster and 'dangle berries'ed it up ;D.  So got it back to "close enough" for now.

Two separate bits .... an air bag 'spring' (bit like you'd see on the back of an HGV & a separate shocker. A bit more expensive than an Omega though, pattern air spring (Arnott) was  £360 fitted & each shocker (Aerosus) was £200 but I fitted them.

Fitted the clutch master cylinder, pedal box, brake bias box (http://www.compbrake.com/product/ford-escort-mk56-brake-bias-servo-replacement-pedal-box-kit-hydraulic-dual-cylinder-kit-b-copy/) and bulkhead panel.

Still need to make the clevis & pushrod arrangement to join the bias box to the brake pedal itself, seal the sides of the bias box (IVA testers have a dim view of air-paths between engine bay and cabin) and then final-fit everything for the 12th time. Oh and mount the reservoirs, make hoses up to join them (or get them made up) and connect the brake lines to the master cylinders.

Then I might have functioning brakes :y
