being left instructions to clean the kitchen
When did you grow tits? That's a pink job!

I'm sure our Lincoln Lord will concur.
Suffice to say, Mum is 5'2" and 70 this week ;)
Again, I can predict Opti's advice, you need to get a young wench in.

That leads to much worse problems
Like broken laptops...  ;D

Well...

Got the breathers and throttle cleaned, plug wells drained, plugs changed, camcover gasket replaced, thermostat changed, hbv and associated plumbing changed - speed fit connectors were leaking, new hoses appear to have sorted it, coolant changed and oil and filter changed.

Had enough for today, so cambelt/waterpump can wait.  :-X

Changed the radiator. Hopefully there'll be a brief respite from the weekly coolant top-ups until something else springs a leak. ::)

Sprayed the clutch master cylinder bracket.

I really intended to do more.. until the dog had a slight incident (he went for another dog :-[ :-[ ) which rather shook me (he'll be on the lead from now on if there's another dog even in the distance, and possibly always regardless). Ho hum.

From what I've seen dash is completely out  :'(

Any warning signs? Where can you actually see the leak?

We have a cheats method which involves some cutting.
Diagnosis is smell and getting fingers to where it lives which is moist. Underside of floor mats also damp where it's drawing the moisture out the carpet.

Oh, dear. Perhaps I should count my blessings that mine was only the radator (and before that, the HBV, and before that, the LPG vapouriser, and before that, the water pump).  :(

Removed and dismantled n/s headlight, and fitted a new headlight adjuster. All reassembled now but ran out of light so will refit it to the car and attempt adjustment tomorrow.

I had intended to go out and swap the cars over, but suffered CBA.  So I guess I'll just have to use Mrs TB's TBE tomorrow. Oh well :D

This is the tip of the iceberg... If the carpet is damp, there's about a litre of coolant already in the sound proofing ;)

Headlight and its trim refitted this morning. All ready to take swmbo out this afternoon to begin the Christmas shopping ritual  :'( :(
My arthritis may well start to give me a lot of trouble quite early in proceedings today. If this happens, I will unfortunately have to go and sit in the car and listen to the radio.  ::)
