Omega Estate Wanted
« on: 02 October 2009, 15:10:29 »

I'm looking for an Omega estate in good condition but I've only got £600.  I'd prefer a V6 as I think the 2 litre might be a bit slow? Can anyone help?

Not is the 2 litre (and 2.2 for that matter) slow, it also ends up drinking more juice than the V6.

However, with a budget of £600, I doubt for one minute you'll be getting anything newer than a mid nineties model if you want it in "good" condition.

Mid nineties is fine. By good condition I mean that it starts, drives and stops and doesn't have big holes in it!

There's more to the Omega than just starting, stopping, and not having holes.

It was £30,000 when new, and you'll still need a moderate sized purse to keep one in good nick (especially if you can't do your own mechanics).

I have had three Omega's and have done some of my own repairs.  I've currently got a saloon.  I have access to professional garage facilities with lift, welding gear, paint shop etc. etc. so that's a big help.

Kate you really dont want Vamp's old man omega, you need an Escort Cabriolet at the touch of a button the roof folds back bringing you safely into the arms of mother nature, allowing you to be windswept and interesting for a snippet of a price :y

perhaps even the jag could be considered for some sort of a deal :D

Careful Kate, he is just thinking of another customer for his hairdressing skills  ::) Cabriolet`s at this time of year are two a penny. ;) Much better off getting a nice solid (dry) Miggy.  :y ;D
