If only I had a spare £10k .....clickythey are so rare these days. I've only ever seen one, at Tatton Park in a show.
Formula Ferguson 4 x 4 and available with a crude mechanical ABS .... if only they had access to todays electrickery  ;)

Actually VERY sophisticated for the time , made for aircraft originally and called "maxaret" units ...

Ford used to offer a similar mechanical belt driven system on their Escorts & Orions ...... it was prone to failure & wasn't an option for very long.
Yes it was advanced for its time, but as said, if only they'd had access to today's electrickery .... but they didn't, so by comparison to today's sysytems, it's very crude. :y

I had a friend who had one of these back in the 70's. I had no reason to disbelieve the "claim" he made that at the time it was the fastest accelerating car in the world from 50 to 70mph.

The 2 wheel drive Interceptor once pulled up next to me at the lights. He was a dot on the horizon  before I'd got my MKIII into gear!!!  :-? :-? ;D ;D
