I had a 3 sim in my duel sim phone last august in europe,
the EE sim worked most places, (11 countries) the 3 sim didnt work past dover.

Clearly not unlocked for roaming then...  ;)

I've use 3 in every European country (EDIT: actually, not Monaco, San Marino or Vatican City...) west of, and including, Poland. And not had an issue in any of them. I would recommend them without hesitation.

But TB and I have clearly had very different 3 experiences. I run a dual SIM Vodafone and 3 now, the two networks have different dead spots but overall they're pretty similar IME. Not used voda outside the UK though as it's blocked by work (tight bar stewards)  ;D

They are also doing a lot to improve signal in rural England.  Example: my parents live in a village near Ludlow and their network has gone from basically nothing to a consistent 10mb 4g connection, with better speed outside.

I’ve also used 3 all over Europe, Australia and New Zealand with very few issues. The latter 2 being free roaming with “Feel at home” :y

Nonsense.  ::)

I can get a signal anywhere in Brackers except the Tiffins... Which was exactly the same with Eeek

The only real person who has issues with 3 is TuBy ;)

It’s generally more reliable than my work phone on O2

On all the crossing I've done dover-calais,drive onto truck deck, handbrake on,lock it and leave.  The only thing chained down were the
-un- accompanied trailers, everything else wasn't, reason being takes to long to put 4 chains on to every truck... Would think the Irish crossing is the same.

If the crossing is forecast to be rough the crew will often be chaining whilst you’re upstairs enjoying your breakfast  ;)
.

No they don't... because to chain a truck down correctly, the air needs to be dumped from the suspension, that's from unit and trailer  Also with 200 plus trucks on the spirt, when you board you would see them with chains and binders at the ready. :-X

Dover-Calais is rarely bad enough to justify chains 😉

And I’ve seen them chaining Dover-Dunkirk before everyone is even boarded so they definitely do when needed

To show how times have changed there was not a single black kid during my time at school.

I went to school in rural Yorkshire .. I don't think there was in mine, either  :o

As people from Yorkshire don't like people from outside Yorkshire, and don't tend to visit places that are not part of Yorkshire, the gene pool will be quite restrictive.

Think the 'Norfolk of the North'

 ;D ;D :D

I was only asking as a time saving exercise - cost wasn’t a huge issue as the company was paying anyway.

But I’ll not be referring people there any more  :-X

This is the second time... First was “Can’t do it for 2 weeks mate” which I let slide as their loss as it was £1500 of work. Now this. I’m just not confident making a recommendation for them.

I suspect that it is a coordinated and planned 'attack' designed to cause maximum disruption in light of the recent application to use the Northern Runway simultaneously...

The local anti runway sandal wearers are a devious bunch...

I suspect you’re possibly right. NIMBYs are a selfish lot.

I hope the police have some luck in tracking the culprits down and charge them for the costs of the disruption as well as the criminal charges. Bunch of selfish idiots.

Yesterday actually.

Replaced all 3 UJs and the centre bearing on the work hack rear propshaft and refitted it.......

I did this some months back on the Navara, although it was the front prop UJ's clanging like a good'un. Nissan wanted silly money to sort it but when I saw the UJ circlips I knew it was do-able with my little press, as this is how we always did them in my younger days. Cost twenty four pounds for two UJ's.  :y
Hardest part was keeping mild heat on the flange bolts so that the thread lock would let go.

Being a Toyota the bolts are bloody tight but once cracked undo with fingers! Changed the 3 joints the old fashioned way - soft hammer and drifts - not ideal but perfectly acceptable. I suppose if you include dropping the prop 10 days ago the whole job probably took 4 leisurely hours, a good 45 minutes of which will have been trying to work out how to hold the prop to undo the centre bearing! And, of course, drinking tea!!

Incidentally, I contacted a local engineering place about fitting the 3 UJs and bearing if I dropped the prop and parts off - it’s a pity they weren’t just honest and said “we don’t want to fit your parts” instead of “we can’t do those”. Especially as I laughed down the phone at them  ::) :D

We've had this debate before, but without an Omega on the drive, we will both have to trust our memories...  ;D

It is in the manual though ;)

They reset just on the up, despite what the manual may say. Just hold in the up position for a couple of seconds. Don’t forget to reset the sunroof if fitted too

Yesterday actually.

Replaced all 3 UJs and the centre bearing on the work hack rear propshaft and refitted it. I can confirm that whilst the HiLux is perfectly capable of dragging itself around as a WWD it’s not a very nice drive at all.

Still back to RED or 4x4 (if needed) now :y

Christmas is not for another 10 days  ::)
no doubt the drunk drivers will be out and cashing about from now on though  >:(
so be extra careful all and stay safe all  :y
Baj humbug? Cashing about? Is this some kind of new young people speak  :-\

Yep. But you’re too old to understand  :P ::) :D

So where are you putting the christmas tree?  :)
Working for a large corporation that positively goes in for positive discrimination, we are not allowed Christmas Trees for fear of upsetting other religions and beliefs.

I call bullshit on that - as there is a bloody great big tree on the tower at Adastral Park ;)
That's in Suffolk, therefore normal rules don't apply...   ...even more so from that side on the Orwell.

Ask anybody who has been there will confirm you can only work there if your sister is your wife.

But seriously, its not those of other faiths who complain, its the pointless, waste of space, useless knobjockeys who have nothing better to do.

Isn’t it always? >:(

TB is positively not allowed a tree as there's no limit to who he might hang from it :D
That’s far more likely  :D
