We had five minutes of drizzle so light it was barely noticeable. Apparently its going to get hotter next week.
Im fed up with it now. The novelty has really worn off:(

If you were still fit enough to ride a large capacity motorcycle you wouldn't say that. :)

In the days when you could ride fast enough, while wearing leathers, to keep reasonably cool, yes.
Nowadays your almost always stuck in traffic sweating your nuts off.
Having said that, I still really want one.  :D

You and me both, especially with this lovely sunny weather!!

We did have a few drops last night but I don’t think they actually got lower than head height anyway! ::)

Spent some time crawling around under the kit car grunting..

Here's hoping this is all IVA compliant... (white cable ties are temporary, black ones are on riveted/bolted on cable tie bases)

It’s got the makings of electrickery. Just got to make sure you keep all the magic smoke in now :D

Oh yes.  ;D

As soon as I have the car back, then we can start talking about getting the 3ft diesel stain off my drive. idiots. That will be a conversation for UKI however (an old adversary of mine) as I have no contractual relationship with Greenflag, they are merely UKI's agent who administer all my insurances that come as part of my bank account.  ::)

You do realise that GF is owned by Direct Line Group, in turn owned by UKI don’t you ;)

How many people does it take to cut a cake?

In my defence, I had been lead astray, and was hucking fammered.

Looking at that picture most of us were :-X ::)

Looks like they used the S.D + F.B.H method

Screw driver + F**king Big Hammer

is it fuel pump / sender unit ?

I've not had a volvo since the old 340 saloon  8)

Im inclined to agree, whatever they did, it certainly lacked finesse.  ::)

I *think* it's the sender for the fuel gauge and a lift pump. Iirc these are a saddle tank and there's an internal pump to balance the two halves of the saddle.

Up to now I've not had cause to look at it, and had I not brimmed the tank (as many people don't) I may never have known about their fack-up

Yep. I hope you’ve complained to Green Flag? ::)

Had a mis-fuelling incident, for the sake of marital harmony we aren't discussing how it occurred.  :-X

No problem, covered under breakdown. Except when the car was delivered back last night, it was clearly pissing diesel. Didn't notice till tonight due to it being on the passenger side and my leave time being 5am.

Noted it tonight. Not in the best of moods I got the recovery garage back out, a quick investigation shows the threaded cover to the fuel lift pump was cross threaded and thegrips broken where someone had clearly hit it with a screwdriver to tighten it  ::).

Long story short they've got it back and are fixing it, I'm in a VX viva rollerskate and I'm pricing up the cost of removing diesel from my driveway cause I'll be facked if I'm doing or paying for it.

In other unrelated news, I ordered it's replacement.

Who is your breakdown with? If it’s covered then it should have been attended by a mobile unit who do it all the time and don’t make such rookie mistakes :-X ::)

Wish I’d known you were up here... Might need some Tech 2 doing ::)

Worse still... If you’d told be I was off Monday - Wednesday... We could have had a curry!
I ended up down at the Waterfront, in a bit of a mucking fuddle.  I needed to consume copious amounts of refreshing Applejuices - Aspalls IIRC, but could be wrong - due to the heat Monday evening.

That seems to happen a lot at the Waterfront  :D

I tend to drink 5% lager rather than the three point something per cent pissy stuff.

Most taste very similar. The exception being Hop house 13 that has a distinctive 'hoppy taste' :y

Hop House 13 would taste different... It’s a “Craft Beer”, not a Lager ;)
