I have had a look for a few campsites myself for a "Lakes Meet"

Now I have spoken to the owner of this site http://www.dalebottomfarm.co.uk/contact.htm
who seemed to be very nice indeed.

She would be willing to take us even though we are a "Group." I offered to give her the phone number of the site we use at Newent as a reference too.
Apparently the site is a basic site. The toilet block has 4 ladies toilets plus 2 showers, 4 mens toilets plus 2 showers. Apparently the hoidioter after being used by a few people will need time to warm up again for half an hour to an hour.

The site is about 2 miles from Keswick, the prices are

Tents = £7 per person (if 4 people share one tent £28 per night) plus an extra £2 for electric hook up.

Caravans = £18 per pitch (4 people in a caravan will still pay £18) plus an extra £2 for electric hook up.

It sounds like we will have the site for ourselves. I explained that we don't play music, just a sad load of gits that meet up a couple of times a year for a chat and drink together....

I have not been there but looks ok to me too.
The fact that we will be there on our own seems good to me.
I know its a little basic but it has toilets and showers.

Could give it a go I suppose if its not for us we try somewhere else next year

I never asked about the Cottages or Statics incase anyone would like to come but doesn't fancy camping.
I will ask, but will wait to see what the interest is

There is a Bank Holiday at the end of May so people may go away then, so perhaps June then as the weather should be better too

Without checking, I don't think I can do 2nd weekend in May (9th?), or 2nd/3rd/4th weekend in June

i could be tempted to take the beemer for a strech of its legs, would need to get a smaller tent though that can fit on the bike
