Am toying with coming this year myself after chatting with Andy yesterday :y
Hope you can make it, Pinky. You're an ugly sod, but I do like to see you.  And you make me look even more handsome.

I was thinking about the Lakes meet yesterday. Newent falls right around when I'm expecting to be having major surgery so I can't commit and probably won't be able to come :'( Lakes would (probably) have been ok :-\

Its not ruled out yet. I was going to look into it again last week, but I had a bit of a sense of humour failure with OOF  :-[

It would probably be around the forum's birthday, as usual, 1st weekend un July.

Well you missed the Meet ... :)

I took a small tent that is was some years old, had been well used, and not in the best condition, but with a shelter over the top I stayed warm and dry, and had a good time .. :)

Said tent was also used in the autumn last year ... much, much stronger winds were giving it somewhat of a hard time, but the final straw was an inebriated idiot gentleman tripping over an extended guy rope on the way back from a very early "hedge ticket" and landing fully on top of the thing. Couple of tears in the fabric and a very bent pole - but said gentleman was unhurt although the bruises came out a day later :)

I believe the correct phrase is "beyond economical repair" (The tent - not the gentleman)  :)  :)  :)
