The Mig is only my second Vx, it's predecessor being a C reg 1.6L Mk 1 Astra. I think that I paid £300 for in 1998 and ran about in it for about 6 months before trading it in for a 2ltr Sierra.    So no comparison really!

Mostly been a Mini or Ford man, Vx rubbish, rot boxes........ . Until I saw the light in 2000 and bought a 2.0L Select Manual Estate - Wanted a big estate to convert to 7 seater, we had that car for 7 years and never cost a penny more than service items, never did get converted to 7 seats though........ 

There has been an Omega used by either Myself or swmbo, or both, for 13 years......

Current far superior omega 3.2 elite, lpg, Irmscher kit/wheels/suspension with b4's, poly bushes front and rear, LSD, iPod player thingy, nokia car kit, 2015 with CID and telematics moved to the boot to allow an a/c glove box.... And I love it.

Morning all,
Only Vauxhall's I've had were my two Omegas.
The first was just under 3 years old when I bought it-S115 JVV a 2.5 GLS auto estate-had it for around 8ish years or more (started to lose water-couldn't find the culprit!) then a 3.0 Elite estate T639 TFA had it for 2 years (only did around 19mpg around town-it was used by the wife and replaced it with a 1.3 fiesta).
Must say my favourite was the 2.5 GLS-seemed "tighter" than the Elite (I know it was a lot newer but it felt more together). Both never let me down-had a HBV go on both but always near home.

Yes thinking about it, it was older than C reg and fairly battered.
