Worth remembering the 17' Elite rims don't fit in the spare wheel section in the boot.

Only the standard non-alloy 16(?!) ones fit.....

Fitted fine in two of mine, just a bit tight to clip the cover back. The 19 in the other one fits as well although a little tight and can't clip the cover back. You won't get a 9J wide Sportstar in there though! Should add - referring to a saloon.

Stand corrected  :y

Sure I tried to put a Elite rim in boot of mine and it would not go, way to big considering it's only 16 vs 17.

Being silly  ::) the rim diameter is irrelevant, after all the rolling radius is almost the same... (in fact the standard 17" tyre is actually smaller in this regard than the standard 16")...

What counts are the wheel and tyre widths factored with the tyre aspect ratio (this determines just how much tyre you're trying to stuff into a space designed for a 195/60/15 wheel/tyre ;)

A 17" 235/45/17 average tyre "fits", but usually the carpet wont stay clipped.

I only ever carry the steel 15" spare in mine.  If I get a puncture a long way from home, I get it repaired :y

That said, I might find it a bit underpowered and breathless compared 3.2 now.  :-[  :(
