Omega General Help / Help please bad running v6
« on: 04 December 2009, 19:11:05 »
I did the cam covers earlier in the year but i did not use the o.e.m ones so you gussed it they went so last week got one side for vaxuhall and put it on the drivers side as that was the worst leak....checked to see if the passenger side was leaking and you gussed it it was.  So i cleaned all the plugs and leads and rebuilt it (so i could go order the other side gasket) when i finished and started the car it ran like a bag of crap sounds like only running on 5 cylinders not 6 but no fault codes i stripped off the plenum again check the leads and rebulit no change....So i got the other side and did that yesterday and checked everthing over and rebulit double checking as i went started the car and still no change. So i left it and went out to it again today striiped it and  fitted new plugs rebuilt and got no change but got a fault code 93 hall sensor voltage high (what ever the hell that means ????).

So i stripped it down again fitted new leads only because i had them anyway and was going to fit them at some point.....rebuilt it and started now i have got fault codes 93...73 (Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low) and 57 (Idle Air Control Voltage Low).

Now i'm stuck not sure were to look or what to look at. :-[ :-[ >:( >:( :( :(
Please anybody any idea's.

Omega General Help / I think i'm a fool
« on: 17 May 2009, 19:28:25 »
I have cleaned my leads and plugs and got the oil out of the plug wells and the cam cover gaskets have been replaced (witch was the root cause of the problem) to try and stop what sounds to be a misfire but still not cleared up but i will admit i did not change the o'rings to the plenum chamber and the seals to the inlet to the engine v if that makes sence.

So am i a fool should i have changed these and could this be my problem cause after i cleaned up the plus and leads. It seems a lot better but still not right and when i did the paper clip test one of the codes i got was 19 Incorrect RPM Signal ??????

Omega General Help / Accelerator cable
« on: 16 May 2009, 20:01:25 »
Just rebuilt the plenum chamber up and put the accelerator cable on and i carn't remember were the push on h looking clip went (how far up or down the cable if you get my drift) on. Is this just an adjustment clip for the pedal or somthing else. :-[ :-[

Think i have sorted my misfire anyway cleaned all the plus and inside the leads with ipa and all seem's fine will take it for a ggood run later. :)
