Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Aerial
« on: 16 December 2021, 21:12:08 »
Where is the aerial on the saloon (2003)

Cant get local stations (Radio Hallam) often I have to retune and on occasions it retunes itself.

Today combined with a dash issue it went and constantly tried to retune itself.

Just wondered if it was an aerial issue, a bad connection(s)(another issue is weak sounf from drivers door)

Also wondered if I could justify a new headunit rather than chasing these issues. ::)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Speedo & Rev Counter Issues
« on: 16 December 2021, 21:05:20 »
2nd time I have had this problem. :-X

1st time I think all instrumentation failed. but returned to full working order.

Today was a tad different

Just rev counter & speedo stoped working, temp & fuel were ok, but for some strange reason the radio started to retune itself (not sure if the radio is related to this problem)  Tried restarting the car a couple of times but problem still there.  Turned ignition of for 20 mins or so and all working correctly.

Any thoughts as to why this happens.

That must be about 1200% more than it cost new.

Hope the seller gets what he wants for it. ::)

Why not?

General Discussion Area / Hornby - Model Railways
« on: 05 December 2021, 11:23:16 »
I was born 1961 and my parents (Probably my Dad) bought me a model railway set (Steam engine, 3 pullman coaches & a post coach)  As I grew older I aquired lots of scenery & track to the point where it out grew the garage where it was set up. :y

When I started work I sold everthing apart from the steam engine & carriages. (and have regreted it ever since.) :-\

Then today I read about this guy.

I wonder what my setup might have become if I had the space to expand. ::)

STEMO allways has something to say about most of us, but how blunt would he really be if it were the OOF version of Liar Liar being filmed. ::)

Looking for a portable one with a reciever on , most are low CFM but seen a few arround 4CFM (is this enough  for air brushing? :-[

Also looking to use it for doing the car tyres. ::)

General Discussion Area / Sky Q & Netflix
« on: 26 November 2021, 20:23:49 »
SKY customers can now get Netflix for free. ... The deal also includes Sky Entertainment and Netflix Standard (HD). To make life even more easier, you won't have to worry about creating new accounts for the separate app. You can simply add your existing profiles to your new Sky Q subscription. (Copied from Google)

Also saw it's free for the 1st 2 months

Is it free or not :-\

So much conflickting info

General Discussion Area / Sky Q
« on: 17 November 2021, 15:23:19 »
Been with Sky for years,

On the phone last week and got a reduction in the monthly bill after old contract ran out and price went up. ::)

Also opted for the Sky Q box as my HD+ box keeps locking up.

Just found out there is a 2TB box but cant find out how to obtain one.

Also been told they change the LNB for the Sky Q which is a disapointment as I allways had the old unit for use in my bedroom (Record & Playback)  Obviously can still use the HD+ unit but seems I wont be able to record on it.

Anything of interest the Sky Q has other than being able to record more channels at the same time.

Can the USB ports be used on them?

General Discussion Area / Visa - Amazon
« on: 17 November 2021, 10:12:44 »
We’re writing to notify you of an upcoming change to Amazon.co.uk.

Starting 19 Jan, 2022, we will unfortunately no longer accept any Visa credit cards issued in the UK, due to the high fees Visa charges for processing credit card transactions. You can still use debit cards (including Visa debit cards) and non-Visa credit cards like Mastercard, Amex, and Eurocard to make purchases. We’ll give you £20 off your next purchase the first time you set any debit or non-Visa credit card as default, subject to the terms and conditions at the end of this email.

This is going to save me a fortune as I will only use my Credit Card to buy goods online. 8) :y
