Good price or not?
« on: 27 July 2006, 17:53:43 »

Yesterday i went into my vx dealer an asked for a deal on vx 10-40 semi synth.

He said you want 20 litres?.....i said yeah if thats a good price.

After consulting vx trade club price book.....he came up with £50 incl vat for 20 litres

So i bought it.

Seemed ok to me as Halfrauds own brand of the same stuff for 20l is over £70.

Does anyone get it cheaper?

Cheers

tc is cheaper than trade - and being a presumably self employed (sort of) taxi driver, you should have no hassles getting a card ;)

I was charged £23.76 + VAT (£27.92 inc.) for 20 litres (buy 3, get 1 free of the 5 litre packs, apparently a long term offer) on trade club, that was 4 weeks ago ....

If you make out you have a fleet of Omega taxis, and that you (the company) maintain them yourselves, then you shouldn't have any trouble signing up for a card....

Thanks for the advice.....and i am getting there with a fleet! ;)
1 merc (tho that doesnt count) 2 Vx's, soon to become 3 Vx's, then at end of year the merc may get swapped out for another Vx....so that'll be 4....may even get to 5 Vx's if I can find what i'm looking for.  :)

I realise now  :-[ shuda posted b4 i bought.....slight consolation....that Halfrauds is over £70 for own brand.....and when i was in vx dealer today they had a 5ltr on display for nearly £20....so thats £80 for 20ltrs

Form filled in, signed by vx dealer and faxed to vx.....so i just have to wait and see.

I owe one of you Nottingham guys several  [smiley=beer.gif]
