Mark DTM's guide to exhaust removal

Finally got round to downloading pics off my (not so good) camera phone...

Here are a couple of pics of Marks approach to removing the old sections of exhaust on the MV6 (mine, not his!)  :o)





Nice to see a true craftsman at work!  ;D

Excellent Dave, I love the smell of burning steel!!!!!!  8-)

Hope you didn't get any steel filings embedded in your nice alloys. They won't look to good when they start to rust.

Fookin 'ell I'm sure in one of Marks previous threads on this site he said that the Meega exaust was one of the easiest to sort out !!!

It is but we were only changing the back box which makes it much harder.

It looks considerably more dramatic than it was, the sparks were actualy directed very much away from the alloys....

That looks like my backbox change. Because they're a twin pipe you can't twist them. I had to break off the back box then cut a slit with an angle grinder in the end.

I'm glad to see it happens to the best of them!
