Did mine some time back, not to bad to do in the real scheme of things. Do watch out though as the plastic T piece connectors break real easy. Changed mine for generic ones and they have been fine. Most proper car parts places (auto factors etc) sell them cheap enough should you need them, most have a box of different sizes but you may have to ask as they are usually behind the counter.

first of all many thanks to all have helped :y
Its fixed ;D
The problem was due to a perrished rubber vacum elbow, it was the one hidden at the back of the engine coming from the brake servo pump,which t,s off to the egr valve solinoid and then continues to the front of the engine and dissapears somewhere down the right hand side :o
So all starting first time again plenty of power and no smoke

Simple as that. Good to hear. You've also got the piece of mind of knowing the condition of all the other bits you checked.
