Yes, I've tried that. Cleared the codes and took it up the M58, got it close to the ton, but next day the EML came on again.

Omega General Help / Codes P0130, P0173, P0150
« on: 10 February 2016, 09:59:26 »
My Omega is due it's MOT at the end of this month. The car has just been serviced, new plugs, filters, replaced coil pack (1,3 & 5), but the dreaded EML light still keeps coming on.
The MOT garage checked the emissions for me and it was well off the scale.
The codes showing are P0130 02S11 circuit malfunction, P0173 fuel trim malfunction bank 2 and P0150 02S21 circuit malfunction. How do I get it through the MOT without bunging the tester a wad?

I bought the Lidl version last year. No complaints. The usually have Oregon blades on them. At £9.99 for a replacement blade they're cheap

Which member of OOF has owned his Omega the longest?
I bought my ex demonstrator in May 2001. It was first registered on the 2 March 2001. 14 1/4 years later and it's still my daily transport.

Omega General Help / Lambda Sensors
« on: 04 March 2015, 08:24:09 »
I've got fault codes  PO130, circuit malfunction bank 1 and PO150, circuit malfunction bank 2. I presume both my front lambda sensors are faulty or knackered. Anybody know the part numbers for a 2001 V6 2.6 auto estate?

Omega General Help / front two tyres have gone bald!!!!
« on: 09 January 2014, 19:31:00 »
Any change in your steering needs the tracking redone by a specialist s 4 wheel slignment.  Try Nigel Langs in Bolton. They did mine a couple of months ago.
If you mention OOF they'll give you a discount. I think I paid about £75.00. Cheaper than a set of tyres.

Took your advise Entwood and thrashed it to Manchester Airport and back on Friday (100 miles). So far the EML has stayed off. Fingers croessed.
I don't use supermarket petrol but next time I fiil up I'll try Shell V power.
If the codes come up again I'll make a note of the long term trims.

Thanks for the offer Omegod.
A friend has a snap on solus which has cleared the codes. They didn't come back on, on the drive home. We'll see how long they take to reappear.  I'll check the lamda sensors in the morning.
Thanks again for the offer.

My EML shows 4 fault codes
PO130 02511 Circuit malfunction
PO150 02521 Circuit malfunction
PO430 Catalyst efficency low bank #2
PO420 Catalyst efficency low bank #1
Does anybody know the relevance of these codes and how to fix them?  After 12 years has my cat died?

Omega General Help / Wet weathers issues. I could do with some help
« on: 04 October 2012, 17:16:32 »
I had exactly the same problem in the rain on that Monday. Plug 2 full of water. Replaced the three spark plugs on that bank. Still had a problem with rough running. New coil pack solved the problem. How the water got so high I don't know. I'll keep away from puddles in future
