i got my son to do the tedious bit of inserting and aligning the text in the Photoshop boxes - and it worked! They don't provide an email address/option, DG, so it had to be this way.

I'm not sure that I need an OCR, but I do need something that preserves the formatting - the boxes for my text - and enables me to input my answers.
My best effort so far has been to scan the form (not PDF, just text in a table) into Photoshop, but entering text in the boxes is awkward and tedious; positioning is imprecise.
The OCR packages I've used ignore the table lines and just give me a solid block of text without punctuation.
I'm tearing out what little hair I have left! ::)

I've tried several, but none seems to be able to handle forms that have areas to fill in and/or edit. My son has a claim form to complete and wants to make it look neat rather than just write in the boxes. Is there a programme, preferably free (think of my pension!) which will do the job effectively?

O and the world is flat.

Aluminum tin foil hats seem to be gaining popularity.

These chaps won't be fooled the Earth is round. :)

How can you take seriously a bloke who has his face on upside-down?  :P

If you have a multimeter, there's an excellent "how-to" in the maintenance guides for checking he altenator. Follow it and report back.
I agree with Raeturbo; it certainly sounds like an alyernator fault.

It's ok if you didn't buy them in brown - we all get scared sometimes!  :-[ :-X

I want to get back on them again, but today's traffic is a lot less friendly. The first time I rode my m/c combination, nobody told me what would happen to the sidecar when I turned left - that was a fresh underwear moment!  :o :o

Yes Nick; I think I would need to refer to the handbook to check where the foglight switcher were. The best vehicle ever for driving in fog was my Panther motorbike with sidecar - I could see over the top of the handlebar fairing clearly....

I don't have your wide experience, Nick, so I can only speak for the one I fitted on my old Carlton, which performed perfectly with no leaks. I do agree about the price though - about £100 as I remember, some 30 years ago.  Mind you, the fan seemed powerful enough to propel the car along all by itself!

Unless you have the "magic eyes" of BMW drivers, which enable them to plough on regardless of weather or visibility issues!  ;D

Tell her it's on offer in a sale - no woman can resist a sale item, whether she needs it or not!  ;)
