engine warning light coming on whilst driving

i had problems with fuel starvation which this group helped me fix and am now having problems with the warning light coming on whilst driving and am unable to throttle car if anything the car loses power until light goes off and i can then increase speed again
if anyone has any suggestions would be very welcome
