General Discussion Area / Re: Government Vs Science

Although I accept that cannabis can become a trigger for mental health issues, in most cases underlying social issues would be the actual cause.  You only need to look at a typical council estate to see how some people think they should bring up their kids.  Physical and emotional neglect will cause more mental health problems than cannabis ever will.  The goverment have picked cannabis at their scapegoat and they are sticking to it despite scientific evedence to the controrary.

Not far off being spot on, Generally an underlying mental health condition may never rear it's head but it's well documented that cannabis can bring this to the forefront. I speak as the manager of an inner city drug service that deals with the tragedy and chaos of drug and alcohol use on a daily basis. I have met Prof Knutt at a conference and he seems a stand up guy.

In terms of what he has said, It's fact that alcohol and tobacco are more detrimental to health than ecstasy and cannabis and his sacking is nothing more than a confirmation that the government chat siht/reconfigure the truth for the sake of gaining voters confidennce.

Classifiation of illegal drugs means nothing at all in real life terms and despite the ever changing policys and laws people will use what they want , when they want and how they want.

Put the Elite in for a retest today after it failed on a few bits but mainly emissions, found a leak on the exhaust joint and gummed it up but it was still leaking a bit.

Got there at 9 and the guy had a right huff on" have you got the fail sheet?" I says "No" he says "it's not good enough" I offer to go and get it, he says dont bother and "im chocka all day and won't be able to do it till this afternoon" I says " I didn't want it till the end of the day anyway"  :P Narkiest get I have ever seen!

Went back at five and he still hadn't done it and the rest of the staff are going home, he is absolutely fuming and starts the retest only to find the Emissions tester wont work, cue him hurling spanners all over the garage then booting seven kinds of sh*te out of the computer severely destroying it in the process ;D ;D ;D

As he couldn't fail it he had to pass it ;) and he forgot to charge me the £15 retest fee as I had done the work

Priceless!

Honestly looks ok bodily and inside but may have the nicasil probs with the block. Would be great to get it going but I would be happy to break it and get a profit over time if i'm lucky enough to get it.

It's amazing that some people just get fed up with a simple fault, let MOT's lapse so cars just sit there getting mossy, picked up one or two bargains this way.

Just popped a note through a guys door who has had an 850i BMW 5.0 v12 sitting on his drive not moving for a good while, chancing my arm with a very rude offer but you never know do you.

Obviously something wrong with it but worth a good few quid as parts nowadays if goosed.

Missus will go completely mental if he goes for it but my boy like mischeviousness meant I couldn't resist ;D
