Door Lights
« on: 24 April 2015, 23:29:49 »

Has anyone tried LED bulbs? Not those daft multi coloured ones just plain white LEDs?

Something like this
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=191427633066

Just curious if they'll work or do they bring up the canbus error?

Thanks

One way to find out... ::)

That said, they're not covered by the Check Control, so might be worth a punt :-\

I've replaced all of the interior bulbs with LEDs.
This makes the map lights in the roof fit for purpose, and the door lights match the colour.
It's worth checking the sizes, as I'm sure the rear courtesy lights are a different size.
The number plate lamps seem more reliable since I fitted LEDs too.

Did yous have any problems with any canbus errors or flickering LEDs, I know some cars have issues with these low power consumption LED bulbs just wondering if it's a problem on Omegas... :-\

Omegas aren't CAN, so there's no chance of an error! And no, the LEDs don't flicker. The ones fitted to my front courtesy light even dim when the car is locked like the original hopeless bulbs did.
