Omega General Help / Re: Cruise Addition to 2000 2.5 CD
« on: 05 March 2020, 09:29:22 »
Thanks for the info  - I have been outside and my car has the grill with the Vauxhall V on the bonnet not the bumper.

Given that, will I need the throttle body/Cable/Brake Switch and everything still or will I just need the correct stalk?

Thanks David
It's got a throttle cable, so you need everything as per the first guide ;)

It should be plug and play, but...

You'll need the correct stalk for your car as the plugs are different. Being a 2000 2.5, your car could be either Mid Face-lift (grill on bumper) or facelift, (grill on bonnet) and stalk will be different accordingly.

Also, being a 2.5, you will need the controller and cable to connect to the throttle body and possibly also the throttle body itself.

All that sounds complicated, but it should take about an hour to retrofit  ;)

You'll also need a clutch switch if manual.

There's a guide if you CBA to look.

If xenons were a factory option, it's probably worth the effort to retrofit them. Depends on the car though, as some headlights are woefully shit... Vectra C to name but one.

Farmers have some of the most fertile land going. In no small part because it floods and gets covered with mineral rich alluvial soil.

People stupid enough to buy houses on flood plains without considering the possibility of flooding are as much to blame as the developers imho.

I can see her stressing herself into an early grave.

That is correct, a matched pair of screen and NCDC should work without issue.

Most of the loom is present, but may need modification between head unit and screen/ additional loom.

If you can find someone breaking an Elite spec car, this should have all the extra bits you'll need.  :y

Nope. Never warmed to him especially after he threw his toys out after being called out for only changing one spring to get a cheap Omega through an Mot in the name of 'content'.

You mean he told you to F off and mind your own, when you told him he should have fitted a pair of springs?  ::)  ;D

Actually, he stropped off, and a) it wasn't just me, and B) I was actually civil...  ;D

If you mean retro fit xenons, then technically yes.

But as a legal minimum you need to also retrofit headlight washers. To do it properly you need the light loom, ecu and level sensors from the nearside suspension as well.

Or you could clean the lenses and fit decent bulbs... Osram Night breakers should be your starting point :y

I have not watched a Sailing Vagabond video on YouTube, and since they posted one about sailing Gretan back across the Atlantic, basically a video selfy full of self abuse, I have no intention of ever starting, as that is how these work shy morons make money.

Similarly I won't ever watch one of Hubnuts videos... No opposing way that I am going to help fund his swanning around NZ. Odious prick.

Shockingly no one on here seems to think she's being manipulated by those with a political agenda.  ::)

Guess that's just the one you don't like  ::)
Of course she is, as is Grotty Thumbox.

Not that either are doing much complaining about it  :-X

Given that all the symptoms most people will actually suffer with from this virus, most carriers probably won't even know.  ::)

Whilst we are on the subject, more people have recovered than currently have mild symptoms and a quarter of the number or serious/critical cases have actually died...

36,000/35,000 and 8,000/2,500 respectively...  ;)
