Catchy Name For New Model!
« on: 06 September 2006, 09:09:05 »

Nissan launched a new model today, the "Qashqai" a mini 4x4. Apparently it's something to with a Turkish nomadic tribe! At least it was designed, developed & will be built in the UK.

The VW Touoreg and Touran are also named after North-African and Persian nomad tribes respectively.

"Qashqai"

And exactly how is that pronounced?

Stupid name.

Worse than Polo, Rabbit, Chasseur and Ka put together.

Not as bad as an MPV that Toyota (I think) had out a few years back called Picnic :-?
Can you imagine chatting to a lady in your local pub who asks "what car do you drive then" and you say "well actually, I drive a Picnic" LOL ;D ;D ;D
