Converting CCR2006 to Bose - possible? Pricey?
« on: 20 September 2014, 19:50:42 »

Since I'm currently lacking a head unit, and I want to make this one into a properly nice car, I'm investigating headunit options.

I seem to recall that you can convert some of the standard head units to run the (already fitted) Bose system... is it possible and sensible on a late facelift's CCR2006, and if so how much would it cost me to get done? I'm weighing up if it would be more cost effective to get the original setup reinstalled... or, at a push, rip out all the Bose gubbins and stick nice speakers and an aftermarket HU in. If Woman doesn't find the credit card and cut it up...

Yes and No, cost wise its a chat with a Tech2 (Software configured) problem is not all 2006 HU's are doable this way.

Never easy is it haha... Is there a way to tell by part number, or a code, or a hieroglyphic on the casing, ir is it just hit and miss with a Tech2? :D
