Slight loss of coolant last night,
« on: 26 June 2012, 20:59:39 »

Parked in  the drive when I got in from work last night & could smell coolant, popped the bonnet & could see a small amount leaking from a pipe near the servo. My trusted mechanic took a look tonight & said it looks like the HBV valve just starting to go. Does anyone on here know the part number for this? The only reason I ask is that the guy on the parts counter at my local stealers is not the brightest spark .It is a 51 plate 2.6. I asked  what HBV stood for & I was told heater bypass valve.
