Thanks TG and tunnie, turned off speed warnings, sanity returned.  Frikkin annoying.

I previously set mine at 90, but found it would bing at me  ::)

One major thing on more modern cars I'm finding is the noise/wind insulation, higher speeds can sneak up on you  :D  ;D

Some mong had set this to 30kph.  Which is really annoying when driving up and down Coral Bay strip, cruising for honeys.

Not that a 2016 Golf has any pulling power ;D

There is plenty to piss off a driver in a Golf than that. But, yeah, maybe icing on the cake ;D

I must remember to turn it back on when I get back to airport ;D

Given the usual september holiday demographic, if it has more airconditioning than the average mobility scooter, I reckon it will pull nicely  ;)

I will say, it does have a half reasonable chiller in it, better than the current Focus, and a million times better than the god awful previous model Focii...

...but its still a plastic shitbox with little going for it.

Dumped the Golf, aim to pick up the Battlebus in about 5-6hrs, depending on how incompetent the usual mongs are at LTN. So will probably be tomorrow.

I can wholeheartedly say that I do not recommend the Golf as a Focus/Astra type car. Cramped, slow, thirsty, uncomfortable.  1.2 TSI absolutely mullered by a 1l Focus, and took nearly as much fuel to fill it as the Focus, despite doing just over half the mileage.

After reading the 'poor screen washer' thread, I tested my headlamp washers today just for the hell of it. They made a lovely job.......... of spraying water on the car in front.  ::)  How the hell can nozzles that point rearwards possibly spray forwards.  :-\  Fiddling with a pin did not improve things.
Popped both pumps out (it does indeed take less than 30 seconds as stated by Tunnie) and did a flush out, although it was quite clean.
Headlamp wash now squirts upwards and slightly forwards so I'll have to sort it before the mot as I dare say he won't be impressed when it soaks his work bench and readout machine.   ::)

thirsty
Did some mental calculations in my head, whilst waiting for the incompetent mongs who run Luton Airport to get their arse in gear (and no wonder its always voted UK's (or is it Europes) worse airport, and spending that £100m has made matters even worse, and even the captain of the plane was apologising for the length of time it took them to get busses to our stand, but then said we'd be waiting ages for our bags here anyway), and...

...just shy of 5 gallons to do a shade over 160km.  I make that just over 20mpg. Driven reasonably sedately most of the time - the blue eco bar wank tosh dial was mostly full on each section.

What a crock.
