You will need some electrical Techninical stuff to retract calipers I suspect :-\

Not on the jags, as per the VXs you can press certain buttons to get the motors to retract and on the earlier ones there is a post change calibration sequence.  :y

Aye.

I *think* you can just do it with the handbrake off, then pump brakes back up, then activate the handbrake with pedal depressed. The implication is that calibrates it?

Yes although there is a hint that a power cycle is required to re-run the learn.

On the X260 (and hence also the XE F-Pace etc) there is a button sequence that retracts the handbrake motors.

For the VX range its ignition on and foot on the brake press down and hold the handbrake switch for 5 seconds until the brake ECU light comes on, release the switch and then press it down again and the cables go to their full extension.

There does appear to be a gadget that you unplug the handbrake motors from their ECU into said gadget to untension.

Needless to say, I don't have that.

Looking on forums, X250 XFs seem to be a case of just change pads with handbrake off, and don't worry about anything...
