A standard model better to get a 2.2 as these are slow - as bad as the 8v petrol

Way too expensive.  I think this is the 2.0dti used in Zafira/Vectra etc. Probably not quite powerful enough for Omega. But then, nor is the 2.0/2.2 petrol lump ;)

Didn't think it had a wheelspin in it... ;)

Must be those rock hard tyres - they were a little 'slippery' around that little S bend 1/2 mile down the road  ;D

Hooligan!

That was the first time i ever felt the back end begin to step out too, i left all that kind of driving behind in my Mondeo  ;D

For such a large barge, the Omega is quite happy to be thrown around a bit... :D

I find it more agile the the '95 Mondeo i had...

A lot of passengers up front have been very suprised at how tight its turning circle is, and how you can chuck it into corners (even a facelift with rock hard tyres  ;))

I wound up my boss once, by saying my Omega had a tighter turning Circle than a Fiesta Zetec S.... quick data search on Parkers.co.uk proved me right  ;D

I wasnt aware they had used to 2.0 DTi in the Omega until i read an article in Car Mechanics listing the engines used...begs the question Why? really, same as the use of the 2.0 8v.

I agree on the handling too...it's tidy enough flying it round the twistys, does roll abit more than the Calibra that im used to obviously, and im a little cautious of losing the back end on tight wet corners under tree's due to the torque...but keps its own non the less.

As for the wheelspin area, i spun my tyres up on Friday afternoon...it was hellish wet though ;)
