Centre console switch fascia buttons
« on: 20 August 2019, 17:40:52 »

On my F/L the switchlite buttons feel sticky and mark very easily. Is this age induced deterioration of the surface or has someone before me coated them with something? The first owner had a VX Sureguard treatment!!! :-X

It's an age related thing combined with sweaty fingers over the years. They were 'rubber' coated to give a soft feel and are the same as some switches I had on my R Class which did the same thing  :(

An alcohol based hand sanitizer may remove the residue.

Works removing tape residue from various surfaces. Handy hint from a hanger tech.  ;)
