ZX-10 was a fast bike....in it's day. :y
Aye, but it's day was long ago. Most 600cc sports bikes would probably give it a run for it's money in straight line, and murder it in the bends.

But it's cheap to run - 40-50mpg, £74 tax, £78 insurance fully comp including riding other bikes. Thus no desire to change it. It's still quick enough, and unpredictable enough to scare the living daylights out of me...

+ £30 MOT. 160 miles that works out at £1.13 a mile  :o  ;D

Words Poofter and gay spring to mind!  ;D ;D
LPGing the cars has reduced the usefulness of the bike, that is true...

True when I first got the beemer i thought it was cheap as chips to run. Now its costs more, even getting 51mpg average yesterday, its still not as cheap as LPG  :(

I friend of mine had the model before the ZX-10 way back in the eighties. We all drooled over it at the time. It was red and f**king beautiful. It was called the GPZ 1000 RX if memory serves. Long...long .....long time ago now. :y

Bah, it's a Honda.

Needs tyres and a battery though. A decent rear shock with rebound that works, fix the side stand switch and rivet the rear seat unit on again. Poxy race plastics.

Oh, and remove all the bits of omega on top of it.

160 miles with a big grin on face is IMHO worth every penny of £1.13 a mile  :y :y :y

1600 miles with big grin on face even better.  :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Need to buy a new battery - the fairing is showing the signs of removal every time I use it to jump the tinker ::)

Any specific advice on batteries - cheap is good, cheap and nasty is not so good.
