Anyone in Bristol tried these before http://www.fcmwheelalignment.co.uk/# and are they any good?

The rear settings vary car to car as they have a single adjustment that does both camber and track. But it is fundamentally critical that the thrust angle is zero :y

Thanks Al.  :y :y

Rear Toe and Camber will be a compromise, but Thrust angle MUST be zero.

Front, Toe is +0°03"
Camber should be - 1°10"

No ifs or buts :y

If they claim that they can't then achieve these settings take it somewhere that can/will. :y

What are the rear settings or are they identical to the front?

Omega General Help / 4 Wheel Alignment settings needed
« on: 28 April 2019, 19:47:18 »
I am just about to book the Omega 2.2i 2003 in for a 4 wheel alignment and would like to take the correct setting with me so I can double check they are correct. I was going to have it done a while back but never got around to it. I have never had one done before.

Has any one got the list or printout of all the correct settings please?

Thanks

Front should end 702...

Might be a rear one but cannot confirm until tomorrow  :-\

Are both fronts the same?
Just Googled part number. 100% rear.  :'(

Thanks Al. What a shame.  :( Will store for rear if ever needed.  :y

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Central door lock actuators
« on: 25 April 2019, 15:58:32 »
I was given a front door lock actuator p/n 90493703 for my 2003 Omega. Are both front door actuators the same p/n or different?

The three pins don't look right to me from memory when I did my drivers door.

Thanks

Omega General Help / Air conditioning oil question

What is the correct grade PAG oil for the o ring seals etc?

Thanks

Yes,  as long as it's gas tight, trucks run 8-10bar and when a pipe splits/brakes brass compression fitting are used. Always wondered could you use compression fittings..on aircon.

Thanks biggriffin. Managed to pick a complete pipe up.  :y

My Sons partners Nissan Note 2006 manual was in an accident and the alloy HP hose has snapped off at the dryer end right next to the rad. If I get another dryer connection part of the pipe from a scrapper can they be joined together with a compression fitting?

Thanks

Omega General Help / Re: Pollen filter/ Wet footwell
« on: 28 March 2019, 13:58:55 »
Remove pollen filter, insert hand/arm downwards towards chassis leg, find rubber bung, insert suitable rod of choice, await big puddle to appear under car,,,  clean and dry area within, refit filter. Check monthly.

Went through the car wash before the mot and the front foot well was like a water fall afterwords.

That didn't work for me recently. I found loads of seeds from trees in there and had to insert a finger from the chassis leg end upwards to clear blockage this time. Hope this helps.  :y

No funny remarks lads!  :)

Omega General Help / Re: Idler Arm part number?
« on: 28 March 2019, 11:09:56 »
Car has just past it's mot part test. So all good for another year. :y I won't bother with the ZF for now if they don't last long. I might send some emails out later to Powerflex ect and tell them about the forum and if they might want to make a bush for the idler arm.

Thanks all.  :y
