Driven it a few miles and wondered when the speedo would come back to life and when the abs and traction control lights would go out..

Fitted a new hbv. Strangely, although I bought it from Eden Vauxhall, there were no markings/part number on it.  :-\

My Roebuck mole grips have an adjusting bolt that a multi point socket fits on to perfectly. Open the grips to fit the pipe clip, clamp the grips up, put the socket on the end and tighten the grips and slide clamp off.
I find using this method makes fitting the hbv an absolute pleasure to do.  ::)
Glad you enjoy it because, by the sound of the one you bought, you'll be doing it again shortly  :)

Looked up this old post from June 2017 and it made me laugh. Nearly seven months on, and less than two thousand miles, guess what I'll be changing when it arrives.  ::)

Damn, that's a shame :(.  Mind you, Thursday evening is all a bit fuzzy for some reason  :-[

Oh and thank god for that!

Drove the pussy back from Walsall late yesterday afternoon, dumped it at home, jumped into TBE, and went off to the local ABS meet.

A nice surprise was Omegatoy was there - good to see you again :y

and went off to the local ABS meet.
And end of an era, as after many, many years, the pub owners are selling up this weekend.  Fingers crossed the new owners will be as accommodating, and do honest, decent food at reasonable prices...

...though the fact they are getting a live-in chef makes me think it might turn wanky :(. Still, we'll find out next month, as its still on at the same place, and then decisions I suspect will be made from there :)

after checking the maintainence guide which only details the  facelift front door card I set about removing the rear one and struggled until I found this obligatory "hidden " screw

it's under a rubber bung at the bottom of where you put your fingers to pull the door shut. :D
