I'm afraid I'm not joking.

I've had a lovely day, been helping Tunnie in Brackley, and then spent some nice time with TheBoy and his other half.

I drove back from Brackley, to Gloucester, and then caught the train from Gloucs to Cardiff to see my other half.

When I stepped off the train at Cardiff, and left the station, I went to the cashpoint, to withdraw the remaining money for my project car that Im buying on Sunday.

A rough looking young girl in her early to mid twenties came up to me, and kept following me. She was begging to borrow money, because she said she'd been beaten by her other half and needed food etc.
Eventually, to get her off my back, I agreed to give her a couple of quid (literally a couple of quid).

When I pulled out my wallet, she snatched it, and ran. It had near on £600 in it (ready to buy this car).

Believe it or not, I'm pretty fit, and I gave chase. I caught her, pinned her down (without being violent or causing injury) and managed to retrieve the wallet. At this point she wriggled free, kicking and biting etc...

I checked my wallet, it contains £190. So she's made off with well over £300 out of it.

I gave chase again, confident again that I would catch her and retrieve the rest.

Unfortunately, a group of blokes saw me chasing her, and all pounced on me and restrained me (to say the least).

As a result, the theif got away, with well over £300 of my money.

Just called the police, got an incident number, and they will be with me in the hour as a priortiy case.

Doubt I'll get any luck though.

It's the last bl**dy time I show any kindness to anyone, I am absolutely gutted

Very apologetic, but it was too late...

Alas, none of them witnessed anything.

End of the day, I'm more grateful I didn't get hurt. But I'm still really upset about what happened, and fair to say very shook up.

I'm afraid a lot of my "social" and "if possible" plans are going to be out of the window this month.

That is a $hitter. Must be really upsetting, even for a bloke. You think this sort of thing only happens on the telly but that's exactly what's wrong with this country. When entering west Yorkshire, we're hardened to these kind of antics  

I kid you not, one big bloke came up to me whilst waiting outside college in the car, tapped on the window, as I opened it just a notch, he said "you won't tell anyone if I knick this bike???" as I looked bewildered he dumped his own bike on the deck pulled out a pair of bolt cutters from his satchel, chopped the lock in one go and rode off!   I was on the phone to the coppers, but it's low priority stuff  

At least you had your wallet back, she deserves a bloody good beating from somebody I tell thee

Police have just been out. Very friendly WPC and PC.

Explained the situation, gave a full description. They have a couple of leads, inc CCTV, albeit small.

Was advised I've probably lost the cash, but I guessed that would be the case anyway.

This is so Unbelievable, i really feel sorry for you, all your hard earned cash.

I hope that the Police at least find this Crimiminal, to Prosecute, even if you don´t get your Money back, at

least you will not loose faith in the System.
