Not unusual, seen a twin rear exhaust setup before on an omega.....in fact, didn't Irmscher do one....

It makes sense on the V6, if you separate the exhaust pipes from the heads onwards i.e. two cmplete separate systems, but I fail to see the point of having two back-boxes on an inline engine... apart from the visual affect that is.

Attracted by the title funnily enough ::)
I have 1996 2.5TD, bought of ebay couple weeks ago as work hack.
I was expecting the worst, but what a surprise, 45+mpg compared to
my carlton gsi which was best 28mpg, so the omega has earned it's place
on my drive  :)
Actually I'm toying with the idea of twin rectangle exits myself, I've made a
new ss rear box cos don't fancy trying to mod the existing box, plus if I ever
chop it in I can replace the std box. It's got a towbar which I've had to heavily
chop up and re-weld to allow access for the secon pipe from the box. Trims are
made just need the push to stick it all on........but I'm not 100% convinced
should go ahead yet, plus it's too damn hot  ;D.
You might think why on a TD, well just for a laugh really......and I hate the limp
dick type of tailpipe on there at the moment.
I see bigrod's on here too, familiar avatar nice to see. Actually he recommended
this forum so I| blame him.

Rob V from over on VXSCC has one on his Omega:-

It is a stunning looking car!!

When i had my exhaust done they would have done it for the same cost but i wasnt too sure how it would sit with the standard bumper
