Right I'll tell them:

1994, L-reg Omega 2.0 GLS. Beige, cloth seats (slightly ripped) and auto box (which is slipping). Has had a conversion to the sunroof so it is now a fold back full length job, which is suprisingly nice. Has steel wheels yes, but the hub caps are really nice (they spin round when stationary, which looks cool). The engine uses a fair bit of oil, but I told Dave we could probbaly sort that at the same time as the leaking radiator. The manifold should be an easy repair too. The only down sifde is the slight vandalism, particularly the windscreen, but as the surronding bodywork is quite tidy apart from the usual rust, it is just a new windscreen there. Should be up to MoT standard fairly easily once the wishbones have been donw and the new discs are fitted, again the only downside is the read brakes and the shocks, but again an nice easy replacement.

All in all a total heap, but Laidback and I both have determination that this will be a gem.

EDIT:

Sorry, a few details wrong! ;D

Uuuummmm! I'm at a bit of a loss as to why buying an early model 2.0 Omega, (even though it has a full length sunroof!), would be the cause for so much joy!!

Am I missing something here?

It's not difficult really, I believed it when someone told me they were taking the word 'Gullible' out of the dictionary!!

Well collected the wee beastie now (Fin, can you sort a few pics please mate?)

It is a facelift 2000 V reg 3.0 Elite, although it is slightly different as it has the "sports pack" fitted (for now!)
The sports pack is MV6 suspension setup and MV6 leather seats.

It has 85,000 miles, full history (some comical bills there!) and 1 owner! :)
Full cambelt done in Feb (and to be redone in August as that is the only way I will trust it!)

Bodywork is superb, no rust (:o)), couple of marks that will clean up thats all.
Reversing sensors (original fitment).

Engine is spot on and has clearly been very regularly serviced.
Wheels are proper Elite 17" wheels with virtually new Goodyear Egle F1's all round (£500 worth!)

Tax to end Jan 07
MOT July 07.

Niggles:
Air con needs a recharge (I hope it is a recharge!)
Glove box needs a new catch.
I need to refit the original Bose unit (came with the car, seems the cd is skipping... I know a man who can help!) and get rid if the Sony thing that is in now!...

Need to get PROPER Elite front seats fitted and a selfdipping rear view mirror.

Aside of that, it's perfect.... especially at the price I paid (and no I'm not saying!)  :D

Opinions of it so far?
Have to say, drives, handles and rides better than the pre-facelift. Also is noticably quieter at speed.
I am very impressed!

Anyone want a pair of MV6 seats in dark grey leather?  ;)

I can confirm that this is a superb example of a lovely car. Stunning condition and absoluetly gorgeous colour. Mechanically about as good as you could get, even 4 brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres! Sits on the road perfectly and sounds like heaven on wheels. I am very envious indeed. I know exactly what he paid for this and all I can say is he was very, very, very lucky indeed! The car is worth an awful lot more and will take very little to make it how Dave wants. The seats are super, but I do understand why he wants the original spec ones. This car is concourse condition and is a shining example of how good an Omega can be.

Looks VERY VERY nice indeed Laidback.  I agree with you about putting the proper Elite Seats in.

Good luck with the car - not that you have much to do by the looks of it!

Refitting the original ICE and not a Pioneer unit??!!  I am guessing that the BOSE set up it pretty (very) good anyway.
