No spinning wheel trims (god I hate those things!) but there are a few niggles.

I will feel a whole lot better tomorrow when the cambelt and water pump are changed and the breathers are cleaned.

Yes, the cambelt kit was allegedly changed in Feb, and they did the rocker covers at the same time.
But, I want the job doing perfectly (no prizes for guessing who will do it then!  ;)) and I have yet to come across a garage who cleans the breathers when they change the rocker covers....

Oh and we'll test the air con system so I know if it is just a regas needed.... or a new condensor!  :-/

If it's OK with Mark, I would be happy to come over with the miniDV and tripod and burn a DVD - make a change from weddings.  ;)

Personally I'd keep the sports seats!  They look great imho and are lovely to sit on.  Memory is a nice toy to show off, but how often do you move your seats?  Or of course you could realise my life's ambition and hybrid elite frames with sports squabs to create the ultimate omega seats.  Wonder how much of a pig that job would be...

Liam

I agree about the sports seats. Given the choice of cloth MV6 sports seats and leather Elite armchairs, I'd take the sports seats every time. So the leather MV6 sports seats are the best of both worlds. I want to feel like I'm sitting in the seats, rather than sitting on them!

Likewise with the memory function, my BMW has this and I can honestly say I never use it as I'm the only person who drives the car. Set up the seats and mirrors once, and after that they're never changed. There is one memory feature that I find useful, the left side mirror dips down when you select reverse gear to ensure you don't kerb the wheels when reverse parking. That's one thing I'd like on the Omega, although I'm not sure you get that with the Omega memory seats/mirrors option.

Cambelt, idlers, tensioner, aux belt and water pump changed.....and video'd.....

Plus the butchered knock sensor wiring fixed, idler pulley bearings re-greased, plenum removed and checked.........plus a few other odds and sods.....you can tell its been dealer serviced  ::)

Many thanks to Mark for a superb job. :D

Engine is certainly smoother (cam timing was out, not by much, but noticable) and water pump had seen better days!

As for the knock sensor wiring  and a few other bits... is there a dealer somewhere that has competent "technicians"?

Still a few little jobs to sort out but it is very nice car.
