There have been the odd app which stated that they use AES256 encryption (A pretty good level) so one would assume that it was nearly impossible to break the encryption.  Once the app had been reverse-engineered it turned out that they were using the AES256 public key to 'flip the bits' instead of doing proper encryption.  It would have been very easy to break in to the data flows.

In a browser the encryption is handled differently which makes such silly mistakes nearly impossible.  There are other weaknesses on browsers compared to apps but on encryption apps have a very bad rep.

I have a VPN server built in to my router and it sits on the firewall.  I used it for performing sensitive operations when on the go (such as banking) and for watching rugby whilst abroad.  There are plenty of VPN services  which give you half or a full gigabit for free every month such as tunnelbear.

They help protect against man in the middle attacks but banking apps should be using a decent level of encryption. The VPN gives an extra layer on top.

3. The establishment finally win and overturn the referendum result,(while denying they have done it)  thus killing any pretence of democracy in the UK, permanently.

I cannot understand why people think that the issue of EU membership will go away if, for whatever reason, it doesn't happen.  This shows ignorance on the part of those who want a second vote on the subject, they seem to think that everyone who wants/wanted out will simply go quietly in to the night?

Mrs G has had her astra serviced recently and she always panics when she sees an advisory let alone a 'recommended' or 'urgent' item on the worksheet.  In short she is a garage owner's dream.

The latest thing to pop up is the cambelt and so of course she is breaking my balls about it.  At 122k it sounds about right that it is due.  Sigh.  Anyone with experience of it fancy doing it for me? ;D

Funny ypu should mention that, as i have first hand experience from when i was a homeowner in the suburbs of Paris.

1950s house with 0.75mm thick copper sheathed with fabric. No plastic or rubber insulation.  The disco lights in the main house and sparks flying from the fuse box in the basement made me curious so i broke in to a wall to investigate.  It took a lot to sort the whole house out.  Thing is that for months i was running a couple of PCs upstairs without issue but it was the kettle in the kitchen downstairs  on the same linear curcuit (no ring) that did it.  Squeaky bum moment for sure.

.. an old film called Sapphire on Talking Pictures, made in 1959 and they just wouldn,t  get away now with the absolute racism that pervades through the whole dialogue of the film. Even makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. :o
That's what I thought when I watch Donovan's reef a few years ago.  I remember thinking no wonder that men of generations passed were so over the top macho, mysoginistic and racist with such stereotypes on the big screen acting as role models.
