Easy dashboard light question
« on: 20 September 2006, 13:17:08 »

I lost my car handbook.

Just had the dash off to replace the EML light bulb which has been "blown" for over seven years. Now I should be able to do a paperclip test! Can't wait...... :-[

There were two bulbs missing. Both on the top row left side numbers 11 and 12.

One is presumably seat belt

The other looks like a silencer giving off heat. -What is this one please?

The seat belt is the SRS (airbag) system.

The other is emissions, not even sure its used, or if only on certain ECUs/Countries...

Many thanks for the prompt reply.

I'll put it all back together and have a go at the paperclip test.
