How long to change all rear windows
« on: 06 July 2011, 09:51:15 »

Hiya,

As per title, wondering if anyone could put a ballpark time to how long it would take to change all the rear glass from the B pillar backwards on an estate.
Reason being, ive totalled up the cost of "things that need doing" on my car & it comes to about £450. Seen another Omega estate which i reckon would go for about the same - its newer & less miles + shed load of history but doesn't have the factory tinted glass fitted from the B pillar. So easier to change glass or get windoes tinted??

Any advice much appreciated fellas  :y

My mistake, i meant to say privacy glass. Mine has the privacy glass, the one i'm looking at doesn't.

Pretty sure that's been fitted since your car left Russelheim  ;) It'd be easier to have tinted film fitted to the 'new' car  :y

Would not take that long rear wind up windows easy rear 1/4 ease out being carefull not to break. just the rears which would need cutting out as bonded

Are the rears not the same as a Carlton (Omega A) remove interior trim and there is a series of (I think) 10 mm nuts to undo. I don't think they're bonded but I stand to be corrected of course.
