Well, what great pics!  Takes me back to the days as a school kid where I used to spend entire summer holidays in a local scrappy taking engines apart - right at the back of the yard in a corner - never got disturbed and it was great fun.  Then the yard closed and all the others quickly followed...........

I think I will have to take a trip down there soon - those alloys on that CDX look excellent - a couple of the wheels on my car are not too great.

Thanks again for taking the time to do this Tunnie, as said in my Rear Blind thread - it is appreciated! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Thinking about this, I might even take a day off work this week to go!

wow!! day off work! you must like the look of it!

I think that CDX alloy is the only one.... if i remember right there was no other alloys on that one.

I would't go up there if your just after alloys... as i think there is only 1 and it might have been taken when you come up.

Unfortunetly I won't be around until friday now, away at my nans. So if you want to pop up there on friday ... [smiley=thumbup.gif]

Yep, I do like the look of it.

TBH looking for other bits as well as the alloys for example, switches, a few trim clips etc.  I am fortunate as my car is totally original right down to the battery cover!

If I come on Friday, I will let you know.

errmmm not sure. Its not something i looked for TBH...

The best spec car in there is the M Reg CDX... there is a P reg CDX but thats been really picked over.

90% sure there is not one, unless early CDX ones had them as standard?

Ok m8....no worries

cheers

I would recommend taking all the relays (in the ecu box) off one of the v6's as they can be very very useful.
Also worth grabbing some fuses from under the steering column.

When you are next down there... take a look at theose Senator alloys on one of the cars, can be sold for decent money...

;D while on the subject of scrappys in this particualr area( Smiths of Bloxham is 15mins from me) may be worth a visit to P.C. autos of Oakley too as they have 4 Omega in there 3 saloons and an estate and a very late plate latest shape one!!! nHe charged me 20quid for a sunroof motor which i thought was ok ;D

Sounds interesting, do you have an address for them, were abouts are they? I am in Brackley.

I love scrappies. There's not very many left who'll let you wander round scavenging bits any more though.

I know i love it there, scrappy near my nans in Surrey are all crap, big signs saying "No Enter" on the walkway into the Yard.

Oakley near Brill mate they are in the book but i cant remember the address sorry, could go there blindfolded but dont know the name of the road Wait!!! it may be Oxford road Oakley cos thats where the road goes to!!
