With self crashing, bouncing and exploding cars no wonder they have the worst RTA rate in the world.  ;D ;D ;D

I've found Google translate fixes some of the spelling mistakes, but the grammar is still very bad.  ;D ;D ;D

I not had any problems when looking around the site using Google Chrome and no security alerts from AVG. There seems to be a range of genuine Opel Omega users on there.

But as it is a Russian website, it is probably better to err on the safe side, especially as my understanding is that XSS errors create vulnerabilities that can be exploited by hackers, so the site could be compromised at any time.

Link to RIVAL Omega forum.  ::)  Not as good as OOF and has no maintenance section. Have a read and look around the site and comment on what you think of it.  :y

When I occasionally got this gearbox fault and it going into limp mode it was the crankshaft sensor. It got worse with the engine cutting out when it got hot.

Germany is welcome to the problems of overspending governments and volatile populations, determined to preserve their living standards at other peoples expense.  :o :o :o If ever there is a poisoned chalice it is this one. I suspect that if Germany takes full responsibility for fiscal union (along with their poodle Sarkozy) with the associated bailouts, it will either bankrupt them or there will be mass disobedience from the populations of the PIIGS at the severity of the austerity measures and no democratic vent for their anger, as all economic policy will come from the EUSSR Politburo in Brussels.  :o :o :o :D :D :D

In reminds me of what Churchill said when Italy aligned themselves with German and declared war on France and the UK. "Well someone has to have them, as I guess it is Germany's turn this time." Looks like they might get the short straw again.   ::) ::) ::)

I'm not sure who made this quote on Italy. "It will take 2 divisions to mop them up and 20 divisions to prop them up." But I think this may very well be true, with the countries that lend Italy their bailout €billions.  ::) ::) ::) I just hope we are not involved as it will be money down the drain. Can you imagine Germany being able to efficiently vet the population's wealth and collect the taxes due in Southern Italy, especially Sicily?  :o :o :o

We will know the Euro battle is over when France has been downgraded to something like BBB-, her banks are in big trouble and Sarkozy is making one of his Napoleonic speeches telling the nation how France will robustly defend their financial institutions and banks from attack and damage by speculators and foreign governments, but Paris is an open city for a complete German financial bailout and overview from their economic committee. ;D ;D ;D Sarkozy will then explain that he will be keeping complete control of municipal administration from their Government offices in Vichy.  ;D ;D ;D

If you watched this, you can understand why Germany does not want to bankroll the PIIGS EU lifestyles.

This article on Greek politicians perks is also interesting:

With perks like these you can understand why everybody else wants their snout in the trough.  :o

Omega General Help / Re: Key fob
« on: 07 November 2011, 02:03:18 »
No, the immobiliser uses a small RF chip glued to the front shell of the key and is completely separate to the central locking system. As suggested above, change the battery and re-synchronize the key using the previous instructions. Battery holder terminals breaking and button problems are quite common, if this is the case then contact Martin Imber for a repair.

I agree, I also hate lending tools out to even people I know as I was always taught, nobody looks after your tools like you do.  :y

I was also taught that cheap tools are more expensive than expensive tools, as you have to keep replacing the cheap ones. Most of the quality tools I bought in my teens are still going strong and will outlast me

Fortunately my lurcher is not bothered by fireworks at all. When I had 2 yorkies, they were petrified of fireworks, so I used to put some mellow music on quite loud to largely drown the fireworks out, which worked well.  :y

Tesco nappy sacks normally do the job, but soon as it involves scraping a loose stool on concrete then from brown finger nail experience  :( :( :( it involves 2 or 3 bags as layers.  :y

SHMBO used to clear up everyday from our lurcher (3 big dumps a day), but now she is in the Ukraine, it is down to me. It makes sure from the logistical  :-X point of view the grass is kept short. I still tease her when we talk on Skype how she is missing out on doing her favorite job  :o :o :o

Talking of which SHMBO was laughing last week where she is potty training our 15 month daughter, who did a very ripe one and promptly grabbed a towel next to her and held it over her nose.  ::) ::) ::)

As a friend used to joke, dogs when they need to go behave with all the morality of a "dog with diarrhea on a bowling green".  ;D ;D ;D

Omega General Help / Re: Cambelt going ?
« on: 04 November 2011, 05:03:21 »
By leaving it consider the odds.

Cambelt change, parts and labour circa £150, cambelt failure, top end stripdown, 2 new heads etc circa £1000-1500. 7-1 to 10-1 cost bet, by leaving until January.

In the words of Clint Eastwood... Do you feel lucky
