Omega General Help / strange occurrence?

Hi Folks just had a strange occurrence with the old gal and need some help please just come back from been out and got home waiting to get in car park when car decided to put warning lights on dash ie eml, air bag, battery and told me on mid told me auto box had fault was in drive but nothing so turned it off then tried to restart it but would only turn over very slowly . So now battery on charge drive belt ok and with no sign from car been in need of help as its been to town then to asda and in to petrol station with out fault till home any advise/suggestions would me massively appreciated Tia.

Just gone out and bought a 99 plate 2.5 cdx with only 46,200 miles on the clock with service history and very, very, minor rust on rear arches very good body work and a mint interior  so glad to be back in a omega

Omega General Help / heater hose clips

my 2.2 has developed a intermittent water leak and only leaks when car sat still and cool and after a inspection of the area where the water was coming from it looked like the hbv so one was bought after going out to do this job i found the leak to be coming from above the hbv and on closer inspection the top coolant pipe that goes in to the bulkhead seams to be the problem as the hose clip is no complete and there is some slight play in the hoses ie forward and back wards movement this is only slight but with it doing this I'm suspecting tis to be the culprit of my leak at the moment so my question is where can i get a replacement clip/s is it a steelers only part or can i get them else where?

Omega General Help / 2.2 16v misfire

hi guys and girls my 2.2 16v has tonite developed a misfire and the code reader is giving out code p0204 injector circuit open cylinder no 4. car has run fine until to day the camshaft sens needs replacing but thats not a prob and the cam cover gas needs doing. does this all point to dis pack that needs replacing or is it the same as V6 cam cover seal gone oil in plug wells.any other questions welcome as to car and all answers gratefully received.

Omega General Help / slb 2.2 16v question

hi all my new to me 2.2 16v is fantastic but have a couple of isuees till i get my hands on a haynes book for it.
1)temp guage not working this i presume will be the sender unit to which i could do with pointing in the right direction
i used to have the 2.0 16v which this engine is drived from if im not mistaken but its got more elecs on it now so not as easy to me just yet.

2) want to change the head unit for a single din jvc but is there a blanking platr or a cubby hole to go in the gap left?? also what leads cables will i need to keep display and steering wheel controls???

thanks all in advance i will no doubt have some more questions at some point but this is gona be one hell of a ride with such a fantastic car

hi does any one out there know the part code numbers for the e10 e-tork (or star bolts) that hold the dis pack to its mounting bracket as two of mine were not in good con when they finaly had to admit i was determind to get them out and they gave up takeing some threads with them.

Omega General Help / 2.5 v6 misfire

hi all new on here but thort it be a good place to start. heres my pro i have a v reg 2.5 v6 saloon 100300mls fantastic car had it 2 years nothing ever gone wrong till now a misfire on no3 cyl no warning light on dash and yep the usual oil in plug wells sorted that with new rocker cover as today i striped all top of engine off to get to dis pack,all plugs on 135 bank ok all oil gone out of wells and it only misses on no 3cyl found this out by removing ht leads so its poss not a dis pack fault or any other??? so could it only be the ht lead? any help app and welcom thanks a big vauxhall fan

hi all not been on for a while changed my v6 cdx for a 54 plate vectra big bad move!!!!  hated it so just gone and got a 2.2 cd on a x plate boy it feels good to have a miggy again don't get a veccy they are terrible only had mine for 4 months and hated it!!!!
