Nice compliment from the "Old Bill"
« on: 19 February 2020, 21:46:40 »

Got turned around on the way to work this morning as an arctic had left one of the fen roads I use and road was too narrow to squeeze by, the older PC asked "is that a V8?" I replied yes it is he replied " it sounds fantastic & then to the younger PC said "that's a proper mans car" Made my day as I turned around & accelerated away with a fantastic V8 burble.😁

Yes...always good to hear positive comments. :y

I was one of the 'dumb bastards' who got caught out by Storm Dennis bringing the Welsh border country to a halt. All the roads were flooded and a 4 hour trip took almost 11 hours. The 175 mile journey became 400 miles. :-\

The local rozzers gave me and the Tata a 20 mile personal escort to a road that wasn't flooded. Five miles later the road was covered with 4 feet of water and I had to turn back yet again......DOH. :-\

Every cloud has a silver lining. You could have had to spend 11hours in a fiat 500.  ;D

Strange thing is when I first spoke to the coppers my initial response was to say 'it wasn't me......I didn't do it'

Old habits die hard. :)

Nothing suspect about a brand new cambelt.

Not genuine GM so I suspect it was manufactured in Outer Mongolia. :)

Genuine GM used to be a Gates kit ,put in a white box ,with a GM/Vauxhall label
expensive box and label because it doubles the price
then you throw away the box  ;D

I don't know what "Vauxhall parts" do now they are run/owned by PSA
probably the cheapest crap they can find ,to sell for the most profit
