Hi everyone. I saw this thread very early when it started but almost forgot about it as i had to move house and all the rest of it.

Do you guys know somewhere I could buy my cambelt kit so that I receive it by the end of the week, just in time? What about $tealer$, any good on price?

I also need to change my front wheel bearing. Anyone's got a long breaker (1m or so)? more importantly where to get the bearing in the last minute? ... yeah, i know i'm always like that :(

I could bring in pair of axle stands, a tiny jack and my small set of handy tools. Also have experience of changing the cat, brake pads/discs and wiring up an amp/cutting parcel shelf (for 6x9s) on new shapes if someone needs to.

one last q, what sort of time r u looking to start the day and are there still nearby accommodation available? could we camp in the place in a sleeping bag?

tnx and see you all soon :)

There will be 2 Tech2's at the meet.

You can get the cambelt kit here:

https://sslrelay.com/buypartsby.co.uk/timing-belt-kit-info.php?recordID=6721

And if you give them a call they can also provide the front hub assembly plus you need a water pump and antifreeze....

Thanks for the quick response. I think the front hub doesn't need any other parts (replacement for disposables, etc.)?

Also do you think I would need to change the water pump? The car has done about 65k now most of which (since 28k which it was when I bought her last year) is motorway. If yes, would it be nice to change the thermostat as well?

tnx.

there's a couple of b&b's in shifnal, the motorway services hotel j4 m54 about 2 mile outside shifnal or you could book into the international hotel at telford like a lot of people have done already :y

i think the first people will start getting there at about 8am.

Oh and if anyone needs a lift to the international hotel at the end of the day then i'd be happy to run you up there.
Then you can have a few beers and leave the cars at shifnal :y

TB is the cambelt kit the same as the 2.0ltr for the 2.2ltr? If so then I have a spare 2.0ltr cambelt kit here if someone needs one.
