Under Passenger Seat Wiring
« on: 22 November 2010, 13:09:21 »

Under the passenger seat I saw a yellow connector that was not connected to anything.
Is this for the memory seats for a LHD omega? (My Omega has memory and heated seats).
If so, Does this mean that if I put a Drivers seats from a LHD omega into my RHD omega, the passenger will also have memory seat functionality?

Hi, yellow connectors are usually used for the air bag and pre-tensioner system.

If one comes undone you usually get a warning light on the instrument cluster that wont go out.

Hi,

The yellow connector was never plugged into anything in the first place from what I can recall.
There was no fault detected by the paper-clip test or on the dash board.

Does the Elite seats have pretensioners and airbags for the passenger seat?
(sorry Ive been working away from home lately, so I only get to see my omega once on the weekends).

Yes the passenger seat has both pre-tensioners and side airbags so that would account for the one yellow plug. At a guess the second is for the optional Vx baby seat, see around page 90 in your user manual :y

There is a early mid type plug there, guessing, as welung says, its for seat occupancy equipped cars...
