.....comes the "sell the customer things they don't need stage"
Apparently I need something called an 'aircon bomb' for £56. ??? ??? ???
And, apparently, my wheel geometry is all wrong so I require 4 wheel alignment at a cost of £162. I have asked for the printout for the procedure they performed. They don't have it. Hmmm.
My guess is they simply make it up as they go along.

There's a thread from Varche about the air con clean. Seems to be catching on everywhere now. When Renault tried to get me to agree to it on wife's old car, I used the one of the shortest, yet most effective words in the English language. No!

For them to know the wheel geometry/alignment is out surely they must have checked it with a Hunter Hawkeye or similar. Yet they have no printout to show me the results. Very strange.

Look here, old chap, they're not called stealers for nothing, you know. :)

Probably run by gap-toothed bounder Terry Thomas. ;)

Nah, they have an experienced eye. They can spot a customer over-burdened with cash at 100 paces. No specialist equipment required ;D

I find it hard to believe that a well-respected car dealer would be less than 100% truthful. ::) ::)

Or noticed uneven tyre wear.

Yes. I considered this. Even using their own figures all tyres have an inner/middle/outer tread depth within 0.3mm.
Flat as a witches tit basically.

And if ou were in need of what they are offering, you can easily get both for less than half of what they would charge.
Do they have really big windows at this dealership ? :)

Yes.....the usual pretentious crap.
Posh coffee with a biscuit. Fragrant receptionist with big tits.........and a labour charge of £162PH.
The dashcam was running and picked up the knuckle-dragging neanderthals who move unseen in the dark recesses of the service bays. This gives a more accurate account of what really does on behind the scenes. :)
