Chrome translates it but takes all the comments from the photos and puts it all in one paragraph..

I don't think anyone has done it, tbh.
MarksDTM has done a few successfully. Think VXL V6 has also fitted one or two

Are they straight swaps or do they need calibrating ? I have a tired laser in my 2013 too.... Only works when the car/radio warms up

Possibly the start of the laser playing up ??? Mine spits the disc out with monotonous regularity, then sucks it back in, until the radio system has got really warm ... about 30-40 minutes usually before it settles down.

mine does this as well...

General Discussion Area / Re: Home insurance and death question
« on: 13 December 2012, 18:18:10 »
Does the insurance company know the policy holder had died ? Is their bank account still open, can money still be paid into the account ?

Or, if the policy holder has a will and appointed executors of the estate can the money be paid into the executors account.

Not really the answer you wanted but been through the same sort of problems with my mothers estate..

« on: 06 November 2012, 11:21:18 »

Swiss Air offer free Sports baggage, but limited to 18kgs. Easyjet will shaft you £20 for a standard checked bag & £55 for a sports bag & additional weight. But it only takes you from 20kg's to 32kgs in total!

I thought their weight limits were 32kg for sports + 20kg for your luggage. I've flown with EasyJet before to Geneva with bike bag and luggage, no problems.. There has been some talk on the MTB forums that the T and C's don't make it quite clear.

Omega General Help / Rear wheel bearing changed
« on: 02 November 2012, 18:42:00 »
I had a noise coming from the back near side for a few months now, wasn't quite sure if it was the wheel bearing or not.

So I bit the bullet and ordered a bearing from All German Parts and a bearing puller set from Ebay.

Looked through a few threads on this site for others that had done the deed, some have had a nightmare others have done it without any problems.

I did it over 2 days probably took me about 4.5 hrs in total, (working between night shifts) not too bad a job, the hardest part was getting the hub nut undone, theres not a lot of room under the car to swing a breaker bar with a tube slide over the end to get the nut undone, the nut is quite thin and the socket kept sliding off.  I held hub by putting the handbrake on, this held enough to get the nut undone.

Jacking the hub off using 12mm studding through the handbrake adjustment hole and a wheel stud on the opposite side with different amounts of packing or a socket behind the bolt as the hub came out. Having taken the handbrake shoes off first.

The bearing came out easily with the puller, the new bearing was put in the freezer for a few hours and pressed back in.

Getting the hub back in I used spacers cut from tube slide over the hub and wound it in with the hub nut. Along with some gentle persuasion of a rubber hammer.

Holding the hub still with the handbrake and doing the hub nut up as tight as possible. Then connecting the drive shaft back up.

So not too bad a job but could have been a bit warmer, cold concrete and working outside not the best environment.

And to top it all the noise has gone.

So if anyone in the South East want to borrow a bearing puller I have one sitting here, I may even lend a hand if required..

Omega General Help / Re: Fuse 15 blown Diagnostics.
« on: 18 September 2012, 21:21:43 »
+1 for Tunnie's idea. I've had exactly the same issue on two Elite's with fuse 15 now, it was the wiring under the drivers seat.
I removed the seat, inspected the wiring and found it had worn through, just like Tunnie's experience.

+ another one...

My worn cable was right beneath one of the seat motors, not very easy to see..

I had one of the later ones, the gear box gear selection was interesting. 1st gear was left and back

Thanks very much guys, maybe a mod can delete the other thread.

Well I went out to him and towed it back. Fuse 15 under the steering wheel gone.

Tried new fuse, she fired up, fuse popped again about 10 secs later, must be a dead short.

SO . . . . . . what else is on Fuse 15, I'm hoping it just a case of removing the siren or somthing, but incase its wires and I need to test everything looking for a short, can anyone help me narrow it down.

Many thanks to all that posted reply's.

And the cure...

Mine was the drivers heated seat live feed shorting out on the seat frame because a plastic protector had been put on the wrong side of the metal frame. You can disconnect the heated seat down by the seat adjustment switches, but be careful the air bag and belt tensioner go through the loom at this point..

I think fuse 15 does the ignition lights and loads of other stuff..

If Armstrong is stripped of his 7 tour wins who do you give the title to ? Most of the 2nd and 3rd place winners have been caught taking enhancements and banned themselves.. How far down the list do you go..

I know a friend of mine - who rides a lot (40+ mile trips are her 'Sunday ride') was told by a bike shop not to get a CF frame as they're easily damaged, can't be put on a bike rack on a car and are only designed to last a season; not sure if that follows with just CF forks but it'd be a sod to buy them and have them collapse on you over a pothole!

Carbon fibre framed bikes certainly last more than one season. I have a CF road and MTB, the MTB is from about 2006 and has been around the trails in Wales and Down Hill courses in the Alps its still in one piece. The CF road bikes survives riding the potholes in Kent and hasn't broken yet. Both bikes have been on bike racks without any problems.
