I remember seeing a kit that allows you to insert a rubber plug into a puncture hole, and they are supposed to be very good, although you do have to find the hole first, of course.

Tyre weld is OK as an emergency measure for trailers, etc but I would not use it if I had a spare.

Hopefully, now its running well, and hopefully the sump plug won't fall out again (like the one you fitted Grin), it won't get that oily film up its arse.

There was a bit of a bump on the road back to the M54 on Sunday that made me think of you. Hoofed it up the road and saw a bit of an undulation with many sump plug scars on it. Too late to brake. :o

Luckily I was OK.

Kevin
I know the very bump, I wasn't going fast (60/70 ish) but I had that pit-of-stomach moment anyway.  Fortunately, tractor didn't bottom out this time...

I've lost count of the number of sumps that have been changed in hotel car parks on my kit car tours. Especially when we went to Ireland and some guy dug a cat's eye out of the road! :o

Yep, thanks, Timbuk. I know you've got a lot on at the moment, so it's very much appreciated that you took the time to host the party. :y

Yeah good to meet you, and my EML came back on not long after getting into London, so have just bought some cataclean off fleabay, will give that a try and see what happens ::)
Might have to try that too. It's recently gone from an occasional nuisance to a major PITA. Let us know how you get on with the cataclean. :y

No problem.  :y

It was good to meet you and a fun day. Glad the little lad enjoyed himself too. He certainly had a good play with all the switches in dad's car - hence the jump start. Bet you're still finding things switched on ;D

Do you know who did your last cam belt change? Adjustable bottom idler on a 3.2... :o

Remember to keep an eye on that aux. belt and tensioner too.

I cleared my emissions light at Telford. Back on again this morning >:(

I think my current condition can be summed up nicely by the fuel consumption on my trip home. 34 mpg in a 3.2.  :(

What I can't understand is, if it's a congestion charge, why does emissions come into it? Do thirsty cars cause more congestion?

Maybe he should call it a pollution charge?

Or a "got a bob or two? Want to visit my city? Pass the Vaseline!" charge.

Excellent! Should be a good scrap. Yuppie icon of the '80's versus Mr. "Envy Politics" himself. Get in the ring! ;D
