Amazon prime.

Perhaps I'm missing something but it doesn't look like you get much for your money.

£79.99 P/A......or £7.99 a month which comes out at £95.88 P/A.

I have it, it depends if you order a lot. Next day delivery to a locker at work is very useful!

Also for TV and music, Grand Tour, High Castle etc.

Living in the middle of nowhere I find the next day delivery invaluable, Most things I need Amazon has... Apart from that I occasionally use Prime Video. There was an offer not long ago for £59 for 12 months. Personally, I'm paying monthly. Often one next day delivery pays for itself. I can see why it wouldn't be for everyone though...

I'm currently part way through a one month free trial. Clarkson and the boys are entertaining but not a lot else takes my fancy.

Still waiting for items ordered 3 days ago. :-\

One assumes they were not fulfilled by Amazon, then?

Some items (fulfilled by Amazon) I've ordered have arrived the same day; order Sunday morning, hold item Sunday evening. Everything else arrives the next day.

Of course, if you order something that can't be delivered next or same day then yes, there'd be no point having it. But why would you do that?  :P

No apparent reason why my goods did not  arrive the following day.

I'll give them a  bell. I'm sure their customer service will be exemplary. :)

I have just received a call back from customer services.

Very quick.....but I could barely understand the 'dark foreign johnny' on the other end of the line. Apparently next day delivery is an aspiration rather than a guarantee. In other words they will do their best but can't promise next day (or any day) delivery.

Not impressed.

I imagine they can't guarantee anything due to the vagaries of couriers - I will say though that we use them a lot and 99% arrives next day, often evening if thats a Sunday. For us very good value.

Amazon offer free postage on orders over £20.

So, in effect, I would be paying £79.95 for some dubious quality viewing with one or two exceptions.

I suppose it depends on how much you feel you'd get out of the digital content. Evidently not much :P

For us it's great, in literally hundreds of orders, only a handful have not come next day. And those that didn't were not fulfilled by Amazon. Iirc the free delivery is 3-5 day rather than next day. However if you're not getting next day service that distinction is moot.

Free delivery is 3 to 5 days, so if speed is important to you (which it is to me) then thats what your paying for  :y

Also worth noting the is no minimum spend with Amazon prime, plus if you don't need it next day you get £1 digital credit for using slower delivery. You can add family to your membership also do they get free delivery etc, we don't need to order a few items in one go to get free delivery. This year's digital credit had added up to £34.

This may be the key to a happy Amazon Prime user.

For us it just doesn't make financial sense.

Was it listed as "Prime" delivery?
