On my 3.2 V6 the fuel pump seems to have given up. I have one more car like it for winter use and I will borrow the pump from that one just now to get going. it gave up today and is stranded 120 km from home, will go there with the pump and replace it so I can drive it again.
But I need to find a new (used) pump, there are a few on the scarp yards over here in Sweden but I need to know if they are different between the different engines. I found one out of a '01 2.6L that looks fresh.
Just to be sure that I fit one that can provide for my engine.
Thanks
Jan

Yes I saw that on one of the on-line shops after I posted here. Might go that way instead. They listed three different ones, 80L/min, 100L/min and 120L/min. I'll go for the last one.
Thanks

Capacity is L/h on the pumps :-[
I did change the pump today and now it runs fine. I borrowed the fuel pump from my other 3.2L Omega that is a 2001 and its pump was a bit different in both the hose connector and in the electrical connections. The Omega with the dead fuel pump is a 2002
The '01 pump has a electrical connector and the '02 pump has just two blades sticking up for the electrical feed. I was able to hook it up after a small adjustment on the negative connector.
This is how the '01 pump look:

And this is the '02 pump

I will order the correct pump and put the pump from the '01 back in it.

The '02 one is a pattern replacement... Unless the part numbers on it suggest different ;)

If it helps (or throws a spanner in the works) my 1996 V6 has the simple twin spade connectors-type. This is original. I got a spare from a mate, which unfortunately is the other type as you have pictured. Another bloke who let me have Omega bits rummaged in his shed of junk and we went through several lift pumps before we found one of the same type as my V6. I had assumed that maybe 4cyl had one type, 6cyl the other, however your findings from your 3.2 suggest otherwise.

I suspect that the one in my '01 has been replaced since the hose clamps weren't the original clip-type but instead normal hose clamps with screws.
Looking at the online spare parts list the one that looks like the one from the '02 is listed as from production between February 2001 to end of Omega production in July 2003 so they might have changed type of pump then in February. My '01 is infact produced in late fall of 2000 according to date stamps I've seen on different parts on it.

i have 2 fuel pumps one from a 2.0 and one from a 3.2 the one on for 2.0 is 3-4 bar pressure. and the one for 3.2 is 5-6 bar pressure this is running of a 12 volt battery and a pressure tester. both from a saloon model. if you add some regulator the both stable at lower bar. if just open pressure they fluctuate.
