Selling cars with low postcounts
« on: 07 September 2015, 18:07:54 »

Ain't allowed. Nobody is exempt. It will get deleted without explanation, along with all the related moan and gripe threads that usually get posted afterwards.

The Admin Team lack the time to explain personally each time, its already clearly in the rules, so no explanation is needed.

Anyone who strongly disagrees is welcome to press the "Delete Account" button under their profile.

Certainly agree with the low post count bit, I just dont think 128 is low, I think 250 is too high. New members have to spend most of there waking hours in front of a lump of glass and plastic in order to get anywhere, I have been on here 5 yrs. I think there should be a qualifying time as well as a post count, but thats just my opinion....

We have to work within the realms of what the software allows, and from the experiences of previous hassles over the past 9yrs.

That's why the conditions are set where they are.  Because it works reasonably well, it hasn't been refined further for a few years.

I have been on here 5 yrs.

250 is easily achievable in that length of time

sending pointless welcomes on the newbie welcome areas seems to be the way to do it.  just tried to get to 250 that way (having had my 2 dross posts here removed) but i find unfortunately they seem to be locked after a few days.

I thought 250 seemed a tall order when I joined, but it was easy really. Just need to get involved in the chat  :y

250 one word posts was enough for Phil L to list his estate, not that anyone would pay that much for a 2.6 ::)

Of course, if people actually bothered to read the rules when they signed up then they probably wouldn't feel so hard done by :-X

I understand that some people prefer not to say too much and prefer to read, hence they may have a low post count. However, rules are rules and it's easy to get to 250 just by sharing some of your experiences, photo's and more importantly, helping others.

You need to consider, selling things on here is a free service to those who follow the rules and maybe a group of people who already own Omega's is probably not the audience you actually want.

There are many selling sites which will allow you to advertise your car without a post count, you just need a little cash or use a free service like Gumtree. If the car is anything special or cheap, someone will probably link to here anyway.

EDIT
Just noticed the title. Maybe you should step away from the computer and smoke a funny cig or two, that'll raise your pot count  ;D
